Due
to program infrastructure constraints, the MNCAM post-doctoral
fellowship program will not
continue beyond the 2007-2008 academic year and will not be accepting
any new fellows at this time. Thank you for your interest and support
of CAM and CAM clinical research. Please read on for a descriptin
of our current program.
The CAM Clinical Research Post-Doctoral Fellowship
is for people holding doctoral level clinical and/or research degrees
who wish to pursue careers in CAM clinical research. The purpose
of the Fellowship is to create a new generation of conventional
and complementary health care providers who will have the knowledge,
experience, and skills necessary to conduct high-quality clinical
and health sciences research in CAM. Through coursework, seminars,
direct research experience, and mentoring with leading CAM researchers,
Fellows gain the tools they need to become successful CAM researchers
and to compete effectively for funding in this field.
Basic eligibility criteria are:
• Holding a doctoral level degree granted by an accredited educational
institution
AND
• U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence
The Fellowship is funded by the National Center for Complementary
and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) of the National Institutes of
Health (NIH). Program administration is carried out centrally at
the Berman Center for Outcomes & Clinical Research.
Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, chiropractors, naturopaths, and
other health care providers with doctoral level degrees are all
welcome, as are persons holding PhDs in any field with health and/or
CAM applications (for example, epidemiology, counseling psychology,
kinesiology, plant breeding, medical anthropology, educational
psychology, etc).
